*This Citrine, like the majority of Citrine on the market, is actually Amethyst crystal that has been heated. When the Amethyst is heated to around 900F, the color changes from purple to yellow/orange. This mimics what the Earth does to create natural Citrine, but since natural Citrine is scarcely found and expensive, the process has been sped up in a lab. It is said that baked Amethyst has essentially the same properties as natural Citrine, but we still want to be transparent with the product we sell :)*
